We... read more spent many hours just sitting by the pool and sunsets by the river are beautiful. The rooms are air conditioned, clean and serviced each day. The bathrooms are not fancy but sufficient. There is a small restaurant and bar that offer western and Khmer food that is freshly cooked to order (but go into Kampot if you like nice coffee!). There are lots of activities for kids on site (pool, table tennis, two pools, kayaking, trampolines). I’d recommend the superior rooms (16/17) (set away from main kitchen/pool area) but you might like to ask for rooms in the main house if you want to be more in the centre of the action.

It probably has one of the best rooms in the city and with the view like none other. The mountain rises in front of the balcony and you cannot have enough. The staff are good and non-intrusive, the premises are large and you can do a lot of fun filled activities, shoot photos, and above all it’s the best place to do the most important action = nothing. Yes, go here to leave the world behind, relax, look inwards and the place will be the best for you.
Food wise, they are not great with limited menu (but its cooked fresh), but these days most hotels in Kampot are well functioning and you can go there or possibly also get the food delivered (do check with the hotel though). The rooms are a bit pricey and can be a bit lower for the facilities available.
We had a good time with family and had the place to ourselves, which we wanted badly. Most recommended for those who want peace, serenity and own space.

Room was average, a little worn, bathroom could do with a kick of paint.
Lock on our door was difficult but eventually works.
Lots of hot water and clean bed linen and towels.
Overall highly recommend

Excellent resteraunt in Kampot - Fishmarket

The hotel is very laid back and has this really relaxed vibe that you instantly feel like family. The owners are extremly helpful with everything. If we had a issue with the shower, the door or internet, they would instantly react and help to solve the problem.

We stayed at the riverfront house and enjoyed the balcony with beautiful view of the Bokor mountains alot.

The food is really yummi and we ate alot inhouse, eventhough there are also great restaurants in town. Try the beefstew or vegetable curry!

As we are 4 ladies in the family we also loved the new cute shop that sells really nice locally produced products to support different small companies.

Our small daughter really enjoyed the pool with the slide and the trampoline and the many corner to explore.

Now the best part: KITESURFING!
We are a kitesurf family and loved the spot.
Frank, the son of the owner, is a very experienced and super friendly kiteinstructor. On a windy day we would take the boat and set up a tent at this perfect kitespot at the beach not too far away from the hotel. It is the most awesome place to learn how to kitesurf, but also for advanced riders super fun.
Frank gave a refreshercourse to our daughters and they loved it. He was also super easy and helpful with material, when our own things broke down and helped also fixing our kits. He really went the extra mile for us to have a great experience and time.
